The Aims of Brownberrie Lane Pre-School 1. To provide a friendly, caring and stimulating environment in which children can feel safe, secure and be themselves 2. To encourage children's individual development, emotionally, physically, socially and intellectually and to help them reach their full potential 3. To encourage confidence, independence, self-esteem and a positive attitude, providing the foundations for future learning 4. To support the family as a whole and welcome children of al needs and abilities We value each childs contribution to the group. The Pre-School Session On arrival children are welcomed personally and helped to hang up their coats Our sessions are topic, or theme based and children are encouraged to bring relevant items from home for the interest table. Children can choose from a wide range of activities such as painting, sticking, dough/ clay, jigsaws, sand, water dressing up, role play, home corner, book corner, large play equipment etc. Mid session we tidy up, wash hands, have a drink and a snack followed by singing time. Table tops and floor toys come next until story time after which children get ready to go home armed with all their hard work. Everything the children take home is their own work. We make full use of our outdooor play area, weather permitting, which has a good range of outdoor play equipment.
