Brownberrie Lane recognises parents as the first and most important educators of young children.
We value the contribution that parents/ carers can make to the group.
Parents/carers are welcomed:
To work in the group with children - signing up for sessions via the parents/ carers rota in the entrance hall
To assist with fundraising
To take part in the management of the group - the support group.
Before your child starts pre-school we would like you to visit with your child as often as possible. This helps to start to build relationships between your child and staff and makes starting pre-school a happy experience.
Some children take longer to settle than others. If necessary we will work with you on an individual programme to suit both parent/ carer and child. You are most welcome to stay with your child for as long as you feel your child needs you.
Parents/ carers Rota
At each session we like one of our five adults to be a parent/ volunteer,
All parents are actively encourage to be involved in their child's and other children's learning within the group. All parents/carers are made to feel valued for their input. Some parents/carers are delighted to be able to offer their special skills and we always enjoy putting these skills to good use.
The Support Group
This is a lively, friendly group which includes all parents. It is responsible for fundraisisng and social events, the staffing and financial management of the group.
The support group meets regularly, times and dates are on the notice board, so please come along.

Fill it in and return to us, we will process it and let you know when there might be a place for your child. Childrens places are free starting from the term after their third birthday. Prior to this we charge a fee of £5 per session. Fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each half term - we will send a reminder home with your child.
